Barbara has worked for Fire and Emergency New Zealand since 2005. She joined as a recruit firefighter and progessed into leadership as a station officer in 2015. She was seconded into her current role as National Manager Women’s Development in 2021. She is also a member of the Dunedin Local Committee of the New Zealand Professional Firefighters Union.
